OK guys / gals, You are going to think I lost my last marble but I need to find Windows 95 or 98. The reason being is that my friend who has the Golf Course has a computer controlled watering system that he had installed several years ago. I have been working on the computer that he runs it on and found out that the program was about $25000 that he is running and it is soooo old it will only work on Windows 95 or 98. I also checked out an upgrade to the program and it is about $8000 So I need to find one of those ancient O.S.s

And this software can't be run in "compatability" mode - one of the options that pops up when you open the properties window? Copies of win98 should still be pretty easy to find if the answer's no...

No-Sir-E-Bob! They told my friend (me pretending to be him) that pretty much the only thing that could be done without upgrading the program would be to just get something with a better HD (the bottle-neck) and put an old windows (95 or 98) in it. You see with that dinosaur of a computer that my friend has it only has 505mb left in the HD after the program is there. That program creates and stores files daily or however it does it. The bottom line is that it creates its own back ups or logs and that it reaches a point when the OS can not maintain itself because the HD is too full. lol...oh well....
